These earrings are cut from black basalt and white sinter from Oregon's volcanic wonderland. Both materials emerged during epic lava floods and eruptions.
The earrings are backed with pink sandstone of the 1.4 billion year old Belt Supergroup of Montana. These compressed sandstones and mudstones hail from an Earth entirely alien from the one we know today.
The stones are 28mm wide and hang 38mm total on hammered 14k gold fill wire. The earrings weigh 4 grams each.
