These earrings are cut from picture jasper from the McDermitt Caldera in Oregon. Perhaps one of the finest rock collecting areas in the West, this locality is now slated for open-pit lithium mining.
The stones are 30mm wide and hang 38mm on hammered 14k gold-fill wire. The earrings weigh 2 grams each.
