Sandstone, Variolite & Sinter Earrings

These earrings are cut from billion year old pink sandstone from Montana's Belt Supergroup, flecked variolite which is an altered pillow basalt shoved onto the Olympic Peninsula by long-gone glaciers, and white sinter from a hydrothermal deposit in Oregon's Clarnos.
The stones are 38mm wide and hang 58mm on hammered 14k gold-fill wire. The earrings weigh 5 grams each.
