McDermitt Picture Jasper Earrings No. 2

These earrings are cut from a beautiful picture jasper from the Oregon side of the McDermitt Caldera. Picture jasper is volcanic ash (tuff) that exhibits really lovely landscape-like Liesegang banding. This tuff locality will eventually be destroyed by lithium mining.

The stones are 26mm wide and hang 38mm total on hammered 14k gold fill wire. The earrings weigh 2 grams each.
